Dress Up Your Salads with Apple Cider Vinegar
We all know the key to tasty salads lies in the dressing. What better way to dress up your leafy goodness than to add the zingy taste and healthy perks of ACV?
Whether you're enjoying a bowl of leafy greens, a yummy slaw mix, a plate of cold veggies or all of them at once, this delicious dressing is the perfect way to disguise the not-so-palatable taste of ACV, sneak in that extra dose of probiotics and enjoy the myriad benefits of this superfood.
The simple vinaigrette is ridiculously easy to make and keeps for up to a week in the fridge. You'll never want to buy bottled dressing again!
You'll need:
- 1 minced garlic clove or shallot
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 4 tbsp ACV
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1-2 tbsp honey
- 8 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Method:
You've got two options here.
For a more liquid vinaigrette, simply combine all the ingredients in a jam jar, close the lid and shake well. Store it in the fridge for up to a week.
If you're after a creamier texture, puree all the ingredients together using a blender, until the mixture is smooth. This dressing will solidify in the fridge, so remove it a little while before using it!
