3 Apple Cider Vinegar Cocktail Recipes for Spring
Not much says spring fresh like a refreshing cocktail amongst friends on a Sunday afternoon. But if you’re going to get kicks over some fun mixed concoctions this season, there’s no reason why you can’t make it a health kick. That’s right – you can slip your dose of body-boosting apple cider vinegar (ACV) into your favourite cocktails to feel twice as good when you relax. Get started with these recipes.
Vodka Ginger Beer with a Cinnamon Twist
Ingredients (per glass)
1 shot of vodka
½ cup of apple cider vinegar
Ginger beer
1 cinnamon stick
Ice
Super simple and super delicious. Pour your vodka and ACV into a short glass and fill the rest with ginger beer. Top it off with one of our favourite superfoods, a cinnamon stick, and serve on the spot.
ACV Sangria
Ingredients (serves four)
1 slice of pear
1 slice of apple
1 slice of orange
1 cup of apple brandy
4 cups of apple cider vinegar
Combine your ingredients in a large jug and chill for four hours. That’s right, delicious and surprisingly healthy sangria is that easy.
ACV with a Lemon Twist
Ingredients (serves four)
6 tablespoons of honey
6 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
3 cups of water
2 cups of lemon juice
½ cup of vodka
1 lemon slice
1 sprig of mint
Pour your honey, ACV and ½ a cup of water into a saucepan over a medium to high heat. Stir constantly as you bring it to boil, then turn off the heat and let it rest for 3-5 minutes before straining into a jug. Add the rest of your water, vodka and lemon juice to the jug and mix. Now serve over ice with a citrus garnish and some mint to balance it all out.
